"Every time a study comes out that the soy industry doesn't like, they respond in one of two ways: It's poorly designed, or it's old," says Kaayla T. Daniel, Ph.D., a nutritionist and author of The Whole Soy Story. Paul J. Jones (November 4, 1880 – August 4, 1965) was a United States federal judge.
Jones was born in Youngstown, Ohio. He received an LL.B. from University of Michigan Law School in 1905. He was in private practice of law in Youngstown, Ohio from 1905 to 1920. He was a Referee in Bankruptcy, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Ohio from 1912 to 1916. He was a City solicitor, Youngstown, Ohio from 1916 to 1918. He was a judge to the Court of Common Pleas, Youngstown, Ohio from 1920 to 1923.
Jones was a federal judge to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio. Jones was nominated by President Warren G. Harding on February 28, 1923, to a new seat created by 42 Stat. 837; He was confirmed by the United States Senate on March 2, 1923, and received his commission the same day. Served as chief judge, 1948-1959. Jones's service was terminated on August 4, 1965, due to death.
